2 RHEUMATOLOGY BOARD REVIEW September 15-17, 2005 Crowne Plaza Hotel, San Francisco, California The Rheumatology Board Review course has been offered since This three-day course presents major clinical topics in the field of Rheumatology to assist physicians preparing to take the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) Sub-specialty Examination in Rheumatology. Trainees preparing for their initial Board exam as well as Rheumatologists who are candidates for ABIM recertification are the target audience. The diagnosis and management of difficult and unusual clinical problems will be emphasized; an overview of important advances related to clinical rheumatology will also be included. Twenty lectures by distinguished clinician-teachers will be supplemented by a detailed syllabus to emphasize the issues frequently covered by qualifying examinations. Each lecture will be followed by a multiple-choice "exam type" question. This course is presented by the Division of Rheumatology, Department of Medicine, and is sponsored by the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine. EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES Upon completion of this course, participants should have acquired detailed knowledge of: Differential diagnosis; Consultative functions of Rheumatologists; Treatment of rheumatic diseases. ACCREDITATION The University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine (UCSF) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians. UCSF designates this educational activity for a maximum of category 1 credits toward the American Medical Association (AMA) Physician's Recognition Award. Each physician should claim only those credits that he/she actually spent in the activity.
