3 16 line poems are due Thursday. Class: Pd. 3- Accel.ELA. 7 - Novel Activity: Go over the author background and pre-test information about the Holocaust in class. SSR; Poetry; Novel Activity: Students will have silent reading time. Mrs. Drew s section will read, listen to, and discuss the ballad The Lemon Tree. Mrs. Kerlik s section will read chapters in The Named and answer and discuss the comprehension questions. Poetry test will be on Thursday. Class: Pd. 8- Journalism - Activity: Continue issue 8 lay out and finalize first articles for the senior issue Thursday Class: Pds.1,2 Prac. ELA 7- SSR; Poetry review Activity: There is only one period today due to PSSA testing. Students will have silent reading time, and we will review for Friday s poetry test. Poetry test is tomorrow.

Mrs. Kerlik s group will read chapters in the novel and discuss the comprehension questions. 5 Reading time Activity: Students will have the period to read NIGHT. NIGHT should be read by Monday. Poetry; Grammar; Novel Activity: Mrs. Drew will go over the poetry test and the class will do a final poetry packet. They will then begin a grammar/apostrophe review. Mrs. Kerlik will cover chapters in the novel. Students will read the chapters and answer the discussion questions. Class: Pd. 8- Journalism Activity: Finalize issue 8 lay out with corrections. Work on second rough draft for the senior issue.
