6 WP.2 1. DAT in PD and Parkinsonisms Tracers Clinical 11C-E-CIT and 123I-ioflupane 1. We completed the study of early onset PD and late onset PD with 11C-E-CIT images (paper under submission) 2. We studied with 11C-ECIT and PET two patients with genetically determined PD (results under submission) 3. We are studying patients with sporadic PD and parkinsonisms (PSP, CBD, ) to compare C-11-E-CIT PET and I-123- ioflupane SPECT and their diagnostic value WP.2 2. Amyloid imaging in and aci Tracers Clinical 11C-PIB 1. We are currently selecting, aci, TD patients for inclusion in the PET study 2. We are planning PET acquisitions during the next 24 months, to contribute to a common database within WP.2 6
7 P36 current projects WP 9 1. NEUROINLAATION: PRECLINICAL STUDIES 2. NEUROINLAATION IN PRION DISEASES WP 9 1. Neuroinflammation: tracers and preclinical studies Tracers Preclinical 11C-PK1119 and 11C-VC We developed 11C-VC701, an alternative tracer for PBBS (Belloli et al., 2004; Cappelli et al., 2006). 2. We are currently planning 1 labelling of VC We validated animal models for neuroinflammation (HD, LD, PD); we tested dopamine D2, adenosine A2 receptors and microglial activation both in vivo and in vitro in a HD model (oresco, DII meeting, 2007; paper under revision) 7

We are studying a selected population of carriers of atal amilial Insomnia (I): subjects already acquired. 3. We are currently developing a quantification method for 11C-PK1119
