4 CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT The 2013 Symposium brings together a dynamic panel of international and local experts to review the latest in Oculoplastics. This interactive program will emphasize practical clinical points in eyelid, nasolacrimal and orbit topics, as well as discussion on trauma, cosmetics and medicolegal issues. The Symposium is designed for Oculoplastic surgeons, comprehensive ophthalmologists, post-graduate trainees, medical students, and ophthalmic allied health professionals. LEARNING OBJECTIVES AT THE END OF THIS SYMPOSIUM, PARTICIPANTS WILL BE ABLE TO: Demonstrate an understanding of principles behind lid laceration repair. Integrate practical tips for the use of botulinum toxin in your practice. Discuss the current medical legal hot spots for Ophthalmology. Recognize common post-op ptosis surgery complications. Compare and contrast approaches to treating thyroid eye disease. CREDITS The 2013 Sally Letson Symposium has been approved by the COS as an accredited group learning activity under Section 1 of the Maintenance of Certification program as defined by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. Physicians may claim a maximum of 20 Section 1 credits. Through an agreement between the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and the American Medical Association, physicians may convert Royal College MOC credits to AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.
