The content of each course has been carefully chosen to address the knowledge and skills required at different levels. People who enter the end stages of dementia are often profoundly physically and cognitively impaired and their psychological well-being is threatened by loneliness, boredom and helplessness. Namaste uses the five senses to maintain a connection with the person, thereby improving theirs, and their family s quality of life during the end stages of dementia. It is the essence of palliative care. Namaste is a simple to initiate programme which is based on evidence.
