I am generally interested in understanding and alleviating pressing social problems faced by emergency room patients. I am currently focused on the severe societal deficit of acute psychiatric care in the United States, and studying the pre-hospital management of patients placed on emergency psychiatric detentions, more commonly known as involuntary holds. Additionally, I'm interested in emergency room billing practices, including balance billing, and the effects they have on the financial health of patients. Page 5 of 7
