2 OVERALL GOALS Cardiovascular Summit 2017: A Multidisciplinary Team Approach, previously named Aortovascular Summit, is the Fourth Annual Cardiovascular Therapy Course, hosted by NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center. This program represents a unique multidisciplinary collaboration between vascular, thoracic and cardiac surgeons and interventional cardiologists, allowing for a truly comprehensive approach to the management of cardiovascular disease. This premier two-day course will further educate on the diagnosis and management of patients with cardiovascular diseases. Lectures will be given by internationally recognized experts who will address the newest clinical trials published in the field, and review standard and emerging treatments for patients with cardiovascular diseases. Didactic sessions, case presentations and interactive discussions will engender learning and improvement in the management of patients with the full spectrum of cardiovascular disease. LEARNING OBJECTIVES Discuss advances and emerging transcatheter therapies for cardiac/coronary disease Discuss emerging endovascular and minimally invasive therapies for complex aortic disease Review medical and interventional management of peripheral arterial disease TARGET AUDIENCE This activity is designed for vascular, thoracic and cardiac surgeons, interventional cardiologists, cardiologists, general surgeons, internists, intensivists, anesthesiologists, primary care physicians, podiatrists, cardiac and vascular NPs and PAs, physical therapists and other medical professionals involved in the evaluation, diagnosis, and/or management of patients with cardiovascular disease. ACCREDITATION STATEMENT This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of Amedco and Columbia University Department of Surgery. Amedco is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
3 CREDIT DESIGNATION STATEMENT PHYSICIANS Amedco designates this live activity for a maximum of 11.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits TM. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. PHYSICIAN ASSISTANTS AAPA accepts certificates of participation for educational activities certified for AMA PRA Category 1 Credits TM from organizations accredited by ACCME or a recognized state medical society. PAs may receive a maximum of 8.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits TM for completing this activity.
