1 24 th Annual Internal Medicine Review April 20-21, 2017 Multnomah Athletic Club Portland, Oregon Department of Medicine Division of Continuing Professional Development/CME School of Medicine, Oregon Health & Science University COURSE DESCRIPTION 2017 marks the 24th Annual Internal Medicine Review, addressing new developments and topical issues in internal medicine for internists and other practicing primary care medicine. Featuring expert faulty from OHSU, plenary sessions will address stroke, palliative care, psoriasis and common rashes. Also returning in 2017, literature reviews on topics such as endocrinology, geriatrics, women s health, rheumatology, nephrology and cardiology. Thursday afternoon will be devoted to opioid management. At the conclusion of this activity, participants will be able to: Identify how to treat skin problems, including psoriasis, that don t necessarily need a referral to a specialist Incorporate palliative care tools into their primary care practices Address exercise recommendations as prescriptions for their patients in need of increased physical activity CREDIT The School of Medicine, Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU), is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians. American Medical Association: Oregon Health & Science University School of Medicine designates this live activity for a maximum of 14 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.
