I am working to create, implement, and evaluate a new module on falls risk, assessment and prevention. Designing Clinical Research Course for Residents, Participant, October 2013 This month long course guides students through the essential components of writing a clinical research protocol as well as teaches study design, data analysis and management, sample size calculations, and power calculations. Duke University Duke Leadership in an Aging Society Program, Recipient, June-August 2005 Received a research award to pursue clinical and laboratory investigations focused on the epidemiology and molecular basis of postoperative delirium in elderly patients at Duke University Medical Center and Veterans Affairs Hospital Madan Kwatra Biochemistry Lab, Laboratory Assistant, September April 2006 Research Technician, May-August 2006 As a Laboratory Assistant, I helped with ongoing cardiology and neurobiology research by conducting gel electrophoresis and binding assays, entering clinical data, and helping to organize an international conference on delirium.
