3 Clinical Activities Provided Primary Care pediatrics in Johns Hopkins Urgent Care Center, focused on acute care visits ; Provided primary care pediatrics in the Baltimore Medical Systems, Inc. Responsible for well child care, acute care and hospital coverage for newborns and inpatient admissions at Franklin Square and Johns Hopkins Hospital. Triaged evening/weekend phone calls for pediatric practice on a 1 in 6 basis ; Provided subspecialty care and consultation in Developmental/Behavioral Pediatrics in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. Provided specialty consultation in various community settings, including local health departments, Infant and Toddler Early Programs, and public schools Responsible for supervising the acute and chronic medical care of 195 students in a residential school for children with visual impairment who have complex needs that cannot be managed in their local school system. Provided subspecialty care in Developmental/Behavioral Pediatrics to a panel of 25 students. Collaborated with Nurse Clinical Specialist to develop medication error monitoring system Lead the implementation of newborn screening for critical congenital heart disease in Maryland as Medical Director at DHMH. Organized advisory committee consisting of multidisciplinary stakeholders to approve screening algorithm and educational materials. Worked with database vendor to develop data collection tool for screening. Along with birth defects nurse and cardiologist, provided education and outreach to nurseries throughout Maryland via webinars and conferences.
