CURRENT CONTRACT AND RESEARCH ACTIVITIES Principal Investigator on Utah State Office of Education contract to study the effectiveness of a schoolbased curriculum to prevent risk factors associated with substance abuse. Quasi-experimental design examining components of implementation science and impact and outcome evaluation of curriculum instruction in multiple classrooms and schools in Utah. Study focuses on identifying strategies and assessing factors of organizational capacity that support effective student and classroom outcomes. 10/1/ present. Lead Evaluator on Utah Office for Victims of Crime statewide needs assessment of crime victim services, effectiveness, and model program implementation 7/1/2016 present.

2 Program evaluator for HOPE4UTAH. Quasi-experimental design of suicide prevention, intervention, and postvention program. Developed study design, data collection, and analyzed data from statewide program. The study resulted in the program receiving an evidence-based ranking by peer review committee in May /30/2013 present. PREVIOUS STUDIES AND PROGRAM EVALUTION ACTIVITY Idaho Title IV-E Waiver Demonstration Project. Statewide implementation study of evidence-based programs to reduce the length of stay in out-of-home foster care placement of children. Specific study components include a randomized, wait-list control trial of a parenting education program. Study goal is to determine the effectiveness of the parenting program s contribution to enhancing child welfare / permanency, child well-being and safety outcomes for children 7/1/2014 7/18/2016. Principal Investigator for Food Stamp Child Cooperation Study in response to 2014 Utah Legislative funding to analyze state policy requiring an open child support case as a condition for Food Stamp eligibility. Study included policy and economic analysis, including relevant fiscal implications. 5/1/2014 9/30/2015. Co-Principal Investigator on Utah Department of Health contract to conduct program evaluation of Maternal, Infant, and Early Childhood Home Visiting program. Established program benchmarks, designed mixed-methods evaluation, developed data collection instruments and procedures, trained implementing sites, and collaborated with national program evaluators. 2/1/2010-1/30/2014. Principal Investigator on Utah State Office of Education contract to study the effectiveness of schoolbased curriculum on risk factors for substance abuse prevention. Co-principal Investigator on Salt Lake County Behavioral Health Services contract to provide needs assessment technical assistance, data collection, and analysis and program evaluation for Strategic Planning Framework State Incentive Grant coalitions in Salt Lake County. 9/1/2008 8/31/2011. Evaluator for Community mobilization activities to coordinate effective community-based substance abuse prevention programs in Midvale, West Jordan, and West Valley City Utah, from 10/1/ /1/2008. Principal Investigator for Community Partnership Program/Weed and Seed Pilot Study to apply Geographic Information System (G.I.S.) to map drug use and crime activities in Salt Lake County. Collaborate with law enforcement to obtain and analyze drug and crime data. 8/15/1997-1/31/1999.
