5 DETAILS Intended audience: Neurologists, Neurohospitalists, Neurocritical care physicians, Hospitalists, Advanced Practice Practitioners, fellows, residents and medical students. This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of Emory University School of Medicine and The Neurohospitalist Society. is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians. designates this live activity for a maximum of 11 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits. At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to: 1) Identify best practices in neurohospitalist care models to implement in their own practice 2) Recognize challenges to healthcare delivery and reimbursement, with a plan to increase reimbursement 3) Discuss challenges of teleneurology implementation in today s society with an emphasis on how this model will change the neurohospitalist model 4) Identify challenges when caring for elderly patients, and solutions to prevent delirium and inpatient falls that can be applied in any hospital setting. 5) Implement protocols for challenging diagnoses in order to provide high quality, cost-effective care.
