HELIX Mobile Wellness and Research Medication Guide August Updated: September For questions, please contact Helix Customer Service: TEXT/CALL: customerservice@helixbayarea.com

Testosterone: Injections

TESTOSTERONE DEMONSTRATION: TESTOSTERONE/ANASTROZOLE INJECTIONS: Many male patients at Helix do testosterone injections (with anastrozole mixed in). Most are prescribed anywhere from 0.15 to 0.3 ml twice per week. Your bottle will show your dosage, but reach out to customer service with any questions. Your testosterone bottle should last 3 to 4 months TESTOSTERONE SYRINGE: The testosterone syringe is 1/2 needle. 3. TESTOSTERONE DOSAGE: Most patients will inject anywhere between 0.15 to 0.30 ml, twice per week. Read your orange/blue prescription bottle for exact amounts. For example, if the injection dosage is 0.35 ml, then the needle should be filled to the 35 hash-mark (as shown in the photo). An injection of 0.3 ml, should be filled to the 30 hash-mark, etc. INJECTION SITES: You can inject testosterone anywhere in the body. For best results we recommend: 1. Vastus Lateralis Muscle - Outer Thigh area, into the thigh muscle. 2. Abdomen - Abdomen injections may cause irritation - switch areas if so. 4. DEPTH: When injecting, make sure the needle goes all the way into your skin, which reduces the chances of irritation or bruising. 3. Gluteus Maximus/ Buttocks Area - be sure to avoid the sciatic nerve. 5. Anatomy picture courtesy: ROTATE INJECTION AREAS: Over-Injecting in one spot will cause irritation. If you inject in the thigh, for example, please be sure to rotate between left and right thighs. 6. ROOM TEMP: Keep testosterone in a closed cabinet at room temp.

TESTOSTERONE DEMONSTRATION CONTINUED: FILLING THE SYRINGE: Testosterone is an oil and is not easy to withdraw. Instructions for the quickest way to withdraw: 1. Hold the testosterone bottle upside down. 2. Take your syringe and inject some air into the testosterone bottle - then withdraw the syringe s plunger. 3. Continually withdraw the syringe s plunger, and then slowly push the plunger back in (this PUMPS the testosterone oil out). 4. Do not push any testosterone back into the bottle while pumping. 5. Pause between each pump - when you withdraw, hold and let the oil collect, as each pump will create a suction. Do not pump quickly - pump slowly and pause in between pumps. 6. Your full amount should be in the needle within a few minutes.

HCG: Injections and Mixing

HCG DEMONSTRATION: HCG DOSAGES: Most male patients at Helix are prescribed HCG injections. Most are prescribed 300 iu (0.3 ml) twice per week. HCG is an amino-acid peptide. HCG should heal and replenish your hypothalamus. In doing so, HCG should also aid your natural fertility & testosterone systems. Our in-house research also shows that HCG should naturally boost human growth hormone, as well as replenish adrenals and thyroid HCG SYRINGE: The HCG syringe is 5/16 in needle size. It is the smaller needle. HCG DOSAGE: Most patients will inject 0.3 ml of HCG, twice per week. Please read your orange/blue prescription bottle for exact amount. For example, for an injection of 0.3 ml, the syringe should be filled to the 30 hash-mark (as shown in the photo). An injection of 0.2 ml, should be filled to the 20 hash-mark, etc. 3. INJECTION SITES: HCG can be injected anywhere. For best results, we recommend: 1. Deltoid/Shoulder - the outside part of where your arm meets shoulder. 2. Vastus Lateralis Muscle - Outer Thigh, into the muscle. 3. Abdomen/Stomach area. 4. FRIDGE: HCG needs to be kept in the fridge. Deltoid picture courtesy: Minnesota Department of Health INJECTION ROTATION: Do your best to rotate injection sites, but HCG is not as tough on the body as other injections. MORNING: HCG should act as an upper. We recommend that HCG injections be done in the morning or start of day.

HCG DEMONSTRATION CONTINUED: HCG BREAKS: HCG will run out early. Most male patients will have 4-months worth of testosterone, but HCG will run out after 2-months of use. This is normal. Too much HCG may cause the Leydig Cells to get overstimulated, which is why we create HCG breaks. However, patients who feel better on HCG, and would like to stay on continually, can subscribe to one of our add-on programs for a small monthly fee, where we would provide extra HCG. Overall, all patients should see how they feel after taking breaks from HCG, because scientifically, that may be ideal. Our doctors are happy to discuss stronger and continual use of HCG if you decide that is best for your care.

HCG MIXING: HCG MIXING: HCG will come in a bottle, as a powder. Mix it as follows: 1. Account for supplies: there should be (a) one HCG glass-vial with powder in it, (b) one large syringe for mixing and (c) a bottle of bacteriostatic water. 2. Use the large syringe and withdraw 5 ml of bacteriostatic water into it. 3. Inject 5 ml of bac-water into the HCG glass-vial. 4. Do NOT shake the HCG glass-vial - just gently roll it around in your palm. 5. Store the HCG bottle in the fridge after injecting. Bacteriostatic Water Syringe: You will be putting 5 ML of bacteriostatic water into your HCG glass-vial. Take the large syringe and fill it slightly above the 5 marker - this marker represents 5 ml.

Sermorelin/GHRP- Peptides: Injections and Mixing

SERMORELIN/GHRP-Peptides DEMONSTRATION: Sermorelin/GHRP-Peptides Dosages: Most women patients at Helix are prescribed Sermorelin/GHRP-Peptides. Men can also receive this as an add-on. Sermorelin/GHRP-Peptides is prescribed to help heal the hypothalamus and pituitary - with the idea that it should help re-stimulate hormone systems, re-balance them, and intelligently release the hormones that are most needed. Sermorelin/Peptides should also naturally boost human growth hormone - one of its finest benefits SERMORELIN SYRINGE: Depending on preference, the Sermorelin/Peptides needle is either 1/2 or 5/16 3. SERMORELIN DOSAGE: Sermorelin/Peptides dosages: Women s Dosage: 0.13 ml four times weekly - that means women should fill the needle to the 13 hash-mark (as shown in the photo). Men s Dosage: 0.10 to 0.20 three or four times per week - fill the needle somewhere between the 10 and 20 hashmark. INJECTION SITES: Sermorelin/Peptides Injections depend on your chosen needle size: 4. INJECTION ROTATION: All patients should rotate injections areas (left thigh, then right thigh, etc). 1. 5/16 Needle: For the 5/16 needle, inject the Deltoid/Shoulder area - the outside part of where your arm meets shoulder. This site could cause stinging, but it should subside quickly. 2. 1/2 Needle: For the 1/2 needle, inject into the Vastus Lateralis Muscle - Outer Thigh, into the muscle. 5. Deltoid tends to have finer results, but each area should NOTE: Many longevity experts FRIDGE: be effective, per our advocate injecting Sermorelin/ Sermorelin/Peptides needs research, as long as you use Peptides into fat, but our in-house to go into the fridge, after the right needle for the area. studies show best results with being mixed. deltoid and thigh injections.

SERMORELIN/PEPTIDES DEMONSTRATION: SERMORELIN/GHRP-Peptides BREAKS & REFILLS: For women on our women s protocol program - your Sermorelin/Peptides will likely run out early for 2 weeks at the end of your cycle. This is by design. Taking a small break from Sermorelin/Peptides is usually the finest way to administer our protocol. Such a break allows the body to not get fatigued of the substance, thereby potentially causing a lack of absorption. For men on our add-on, we recommend that you take 1 to 2 weeks off between introducing a new Sermorelin/Peptide bottle, for optimal absorption. Both men and women on the Sermorelin/Peptide program should continue taking Pregnenolone, while waiting for your next Sermorelin/Peptide bottle. For women, Sermorelin/Peptides are refilled every 4 months. For men, Sermorelin/Peptides (add-on) are refilled every 3 months.

Sermorelin/Peptides MIXING: SERMORELIN/PEPTIDES MIXING: Sermorelin/Peptides will come in a glass-vial, with dry powder in it. Mix it as follows: 1. Account for supplies: there should be (a) one Sermorelin/Peptides glass vial with powder in it, (b) a large syringe for mixing and (c) a bottle of bacteriostatic water. 2. Use the large needle and withdraw 7.5 ml of bacteriostatic water into it. 3. Inject 7.5 ml of bac-water into the Sermorelin/ Peptides glass vial. 4. Do NOT shake the Sermorelin/Peptides glass vial - just roll it around in your palm. 5. Store the Sermorelin/Peptides bottle in the fridge after injecting. Bacteriostatic Water Syringe: You will be putting 7.5 ML of bacteriostatic water into your Sermorelin/Peptides glass vial. Take the large syringe and fill it slightly above the 7.5 marker - this marker represents 7.5 ml.

TROCHES: For Medications: - Pregnenolone - Oxytocin - Sildenafil (Viagra) - Tadalafil (Cialis) - DHEA

TROCHES DEMONSTRATION: TROCHES: Troches are placed under your tongue, where they dissolve and go into the blood-stream. Depending on the medication, it is a great way to absorb a needed substance. Our prescriptions for Pregnenolone, DHEA, Sildenafil (Generic Viagra), Tadalafil (Generic Cialis), and Oxytocin, exclusively come in troche form. You will be responsible for cutting these troches into eighths or fourths and dissolving them under your tongue. TROCHE CONTAINER: Troches will be packed in a container, that contains a line of troches, protected in a plastic shell. TROCHE SIZE: The troche itself is just under the size of a quarter. TROCHE COLOR: Troches usually come white in color, but color can vary depending on medication.

TROCHES DEMONSTRATION: TROCHES: Most prescriptions will dictate that each troche should be cut into 4 pieces or 8 pieces. 1. ORGINAL TROCHE SIZE: Start with the original troche. 2. FOURTHS: Cut the troche into four pieces. 3. EIGHTHS: Cut each piece, again, into half. You now have one troche divided into eight pieces. 4. DISSOLVE: Place one cut-piece under your tongue and let it dissolve. Wait 10 minutes to drink water or eat, so troche can fully absorb. NOTE: Do your best to cut the troche accurately. If one piece is bigger than the other, that is fine - imperfect cuts should not effect your protocol greatly.

TROCHES DEMONSTRATION: Our troche-cutting protocol is usually as follows: PREGNENOLONE: Cut into eighths. OXYTOCIN: Cut into eighths or fourths. DHEA: Cut into eighths. SILDENAFIL: Cut into fourths. TADALAFIL: Cut into fourths. Read your prescription (on the paper-casing around the troche case) for exact cutting recommendations. Most troche prescriptions are to be taken 3 to 4 times per week. Please consult prescription for full info.

Adrenals, Thyroid and Progesterone Medications

Adrenal, Thyroid, Progesterone Medications: By subscribing to Helix MWR, we will monitor your adrenals, thyroid and progesterone (in addition to testosterone and estrogen). If your adrenal, thyroid or progesterone levels are deficient, in accordance with Helix s protocols, then we will likely issue meds. For adrenals, thyroid and progesterone, the medications issued can either be capsules that are swallowed, or troches that are dissolved under your tongue - but not injections. Your prescribing practitioner at Helix will let you know if any of these medications are prescribed. Of note, the primary Helix protocol (which includes HCG for men, and Sermorelin/Peptides for women), should already provide healing to your hypothalamus, which in turn, should already replenish and heal thyroid, adrenal and progesterone levels. We simply offer additional assistance if it is needed.

MISC NOTES

COMBINING INJECTIONS: Injections can be combined. For convenience, you may put prescriptions into the same syringe and inject once. However, try to follow our guidance in terms of what time of day certain prescriptions should be injected. A few notes: 1. Testosterone should always be the first prescription to go into the syringe (so it is the last injected into the body). 2. Glutathione (if you do the add-on) should always go into the syringe last (so its the first med injected into the body). 3. We highly recommend that HCG, B12, and B- Complex be injected in the morning (or start of day), whereas Sermorelin/Peptides should be done at night. Testosterone can be done at any time. 4. For convenience, Testosterone and HCG can be combined - but the effects will likely be stronger if they re done as separate injections. If combining is desired though, we recommend doing this HCG/ Testosterone with the 1/2 needle and injecting into the thigh, in the morning or start of day.

SHARPS DISPOSAL: When disposing of needles, please be sure to put the orange-cap back on the needle, so that it is properly covered. Disposing of a covered needle in your trash is allowed in some states and cities. However, laws on this matter can vary by state, county, and city. We require that you check laws for your local area, as sharps disposal is your responsibility, as the patient (Helix MWR does not take responsibility for your sharps disposal). In regard to areas that do require medical waste disposal, we advise the following steps: 1. Obtain a plastic container - of note, plastic detergent containers (Tide, Snuggle, etc) are fine for this use. The container does not have to be an official medical sharps container or red container. 2. Either in black marker, or on sticker-label tape, write SHARPS BIOHAZARD - DO NOT RECYCLE on the plastic container and dispose your capped-needles in there. Be sure to close the container between use. 3. Once the container is full (or close to it), take it to a local sharps disposal location. Many Sheriff Offices and Senior Centers offer free sharps container disposal. For a list of local sharps container drop-offs, feel free to visit: Sharps disposal is not required in all states, but we advise being prepared.
