4 WHY THE ACADEMY? The Academy of Sexology is an International Private Higher Education Distance-Learning Online University since As the leading on-line university of sexology in the world, we are proud of our academic integrity, our long term sustainability and the professional quality of our past and present students and graduates. Sexology is a relatively new discipline with a comprehensive curriculum. The scientific study of sexuality is therefore currently not available at almost all universities. The need for sexology, as an academic field of study, is not in dispute. It is mandated by the World Health Organisation and the World Association for Sexual Health and is advocated by many academics & professionals. Our pioneering contribution to sexology as an autonomous academic discipline, is recognised and appreciated worldwide. Our Curriculum has been recognised for its academic excellence across the world. The Academy has peer recognition, links and affiliations in the USA, Canada, South Asia, Australia, Africa and across most of Europe. The academic work of the Principal of the Academy, Professor Johann Lemmer, has been extensively published and translated into many languages. Since 2003, the Academy for Sexology enrolled more than 250 students including psychiatrists, psychologists, medical doctors and many other professionals as well as high-potential young students. Our graduates are well-accepted in the academic, the professional and the corporate world. In addition to international peerrecognition, the Academy of Sexology is formally recognised by the Council for Sexual Health Professions NPC (the professional body in South Africa for sexual health professions). The focus of accreditation has shift from the name of the institution to the quality of training and the knowledge, skills & experiences gained by you the learner. Be assured that your studies in sexology will most definitely be recognised all over the world- due to RPL policies but it all depends on you.

5 THE OUTCOME OF SEXOLOGY IS A FULFILLING LIFE - FULL OF PASSION AND COMPASSION STUDY SEXOLOGY IS AN INVESTMENT IN YOURSELF
