9 Examination Results Evaluation System: Analysis: BRPT RPSGT Everyone who took the exam this year passed. New Oregon state licensure requirements seem to be helping to encourage graduates to take their boards. We can only push them so much, they have to take the test. Surveys - Cognitive Domain Evaluation System: Cut Score: Analysis: Employer Surveys - Cognitive rating of 3 on a 5-point Likert scle All of the surveys revealed that the core knowledge of our graduates were acceptable (3) or better. Most of them received ratings of 4 or 5. We continue to revamp our courses adding emphasis on areas that show up as weaknesses on the final comprehensive exam. Evaluation System: Cut Score: Analysis: Graduate Survey - Cognitive rating of 3 on a 5-point Likert scle The graduates feel very confident about the knowledge they have obtained. All ratings are either 4 or 5. Overall, the students feel they are prepared to be successful in their new career. Our primary area of weakness are recognition of EKG abnormalities.. We have modified the EKG course and drilled students on the basics in 4 different courses and they are improving considerably. We will continue to emphasize ECK throughout the program. Surveys - Psychomotor Domain Evaluation System: Cut Score: Analysis: Employer Surveys - Psychomotor rating of 3 on a 5-point Likert scle These scores are consistently good. Most were in the 4-5 range. Continue with our internship program. Evaluation System: Cut Score: Analysis: Graduate Survey - Psychomotor rating of 3 on a 5-point Likert scle Due to the lengthy internship requirement and the fact that most of the students were hired by the labs that trained them, this is a very positive factor for us. All ratings are either 4 or 5. Overall, the students feel they are prepared to be successful in their new career. We will continue what we are doing. Surveys - Affective Domain Evaluation System: Cut Score: Analysis: Employer Surveys - Affective rating of 3 on a 5-point Likert scle These were the highest rating on all surveys, in the 4-5 range. Continue with our current internship design. Page 9. Created on 1/25/6
10 Evaluation System: Graduate Survey - Affective Cut Score: rating of 3 on a 5-point Likert scle Analysis: There are no negative items in this domain. All ratings are either 4 or 5. Overall, the students feel they are prepared to be successful in their new career. No one indicated that they felt unprepared on any of the specific affective objective. We will continue what we are doing. Attrition / Retention Evaluation System: Analysis: Attrition / Retention The breakdown that you have does not really work for our program because we have open enrollment each term (4 times a year) and most cross the calendar year. Everyone who dropped out this year, did so for family reasons not academic reasons. We are doing a good job of counseling students and providing extra academic support when needed. We should continue what we are doing Positive Placement Evaluation System: Analysis: Positive Placement We have no problem with placement. Most of our students have either been hired by their internship site or were hired by another facility immediately upon completion of the program. Continue what we are doing. Page 10. 14 Comments The sleep labs in the state of Oregon have told us that they will only hire our graduates, not from the other school in our state. We believe that we are providing an excellent education for our students. Our biggest problem is the low number of applicants each term. Page 14. Created on 1/25/6
