3 The 10th Annual Ottawa Conference: State of the Art Clinical Approaches to Smoking Cessation taking place January 19 and 20, 2018 in Ottawa, Ontario, will bring together national and international experts and stakeholders to share the latest concepts in clinical smoking cessation treatment, program development, and research. For the past 10 years, the Ottawa Conference has become an international reference for health professionals seeking up-to-date knowledge of clinical tobacco treatment strategies. CONFERENCE OBJECTIVES By attending the conference, participants will be able to: Deliver evidence-based, clinical approaches to the treatment of tobacco addiction Demonstrate skills in facilitating smoking cessation in a variety of practice settings Engage with other health professionals in knowledge sharing activities regarding effective smoking cessation practice 1

6 ACCREDITIATION This event is an Accredited Group Learning Activity (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and approved by the University of Ottawa s Office of Continuing Professional Development. You may claim a maximum of 19.5 hours (credits are automatically calculated).
