2 History Invited by our partner, the Smoking Cessation Leadership Center, to submit an application to celebrate SCLC 10 year anniversary Worked with Pat Black and Nick Croce to develop idea and initial application Subcontract awarded late September Pioneers: Focusing on making tobacco-free living part of recovery for people with mental health and substance use disorders Partnership to drive down tobacco use prevalence in the behavioral health population 100 Pioneers for Smoking Cessation Virtual Leadership Academy Call for applications; pioneers participate in webinars and receive technical assistance via SCLC; online learning community Virtual Nursing Academy Program Goals/Aims Provide training/technical assistance to to increase understanding/skills in delivering effective tobacco cessation strategies Implement or enhance existing tobacco cessation services using evidence-based practices Implement or improve upon tobacco-free environments Sharp 2
