18 NIH Trial Drs. Marjorie C. Gondré-Lewis and Kenneth Blum are the recipients of NIH/R41MD012318, National Institute of Minority Health and Health Disparities. The aim of the grant is to use GARS to identify highly convergent candidate gene SNPS associated with Reward Deficiency Syndrome (RDS) in under-served populations with substance use disorder.

19 NIH Trial Cohort: African Americans attending Howard University Suboxone Program and a private DC drug treatment center. N = 100 RDS free controls N = 40 Neuronutrient therapy will be provided to the Experimental group for six months. Outcome will be measured using pre and post psychological and behavioral assessments and urine tox screens.
