Role: Postdoctoral Scholar Fellowship Trainee (07/14-06/16; 2-year salary support: $91,584) RSG Leventhal (PI) $1,785,000 07/ /2018 American Cancer Society Genetics of Tobacco Withdrawal in African Americans This project investigates whether variation in genes that regulate neurotransmitter and pharmacokinetic pathways predict a laboratory-based tobacco withdrawal phenotype among African-American daily smokers. Role: Postdoctoral Scholar Research Associate (07/13-06/14) R01-DA Leventhal (PI) $3,466,510 08/ /2017 NIDA Anhedonia as a Risk Factor and Consequence of Substance Use This project examines if anhedonia predicts substance use escalation across mid-adolescence (age 14 to 18 years) using an 8-wave longitudinal design among ~3000 high school students.
