The purpose of this study was to investigate the difference between variables with regard to suicide, according to teenager drinking and smoking by using data from the 2015 Korea Youth Risk Behavior Web-based Survey(KYRBS. The data were analyzed using the SPSS / Win 21.0 program Of a total 3464 middle and high school students analyzed. Variables were examined using descriptive statistics and t-test. The analysis displayed a statistically significant difference throughout the whole areas such as Sadness & hopelessness experience, Suicidal thoughts, Suicide Plan and Suicide attempt, in accordance to the amount of their drinking and smoking. Keywords: teenager, drinking, smoking, imbalance, suicide 1 Introduction Adolescence is exposed to the high rates of suicide due to temporary emotional imbalance or their awkwardness[1]. Harwood and Jacoby (2000[2] defined suicide as a consecutive concept of thought of committing suicide, suicide attempt and suicide, and identified youth smoking or drinking as the risk factors of thought of committing suicide and suicide attempt[3-5]. Adolescents smoking or drinking accounted for higher rates of suicide than those who did not[1]. The present research has been performed with the target for young people belonging to a cohort group of drinking smoking with high risk behavior problems, in order to analyze the difference between variances with respect to suicide in accordance with the amount of their drinking and smoking. 2 Vol.132 (Healthcare and Nursing Method 2.1 Design The present research project, referring to 2015 Youth Risk Behavior Online Survey, has been carried out to explain the difference between variations in relation to suicide according to the amount of teenagers drinking and smoking who belong to a cohort group of drinking smoking 2.2 Subjects and Data Collection The number of subjects for this study, 3464, was proven to provide enough statistical power. This study was conducted 1 st January to 16 th February Instrument In this study, 9 general characteristics question items. Suicide-related items are categorized as Sadness & hopelessness experience, Suicidal thoughts, Suicide Plan and Suicide attempt. 2.4 Data Analysis The SPSS / Win 21.0 program was used to analyze the data of this study. 3 Results 3.1 Recently alcohol intake and smoking (for 30 days Table 1. Instructional method has been focused on helping them quit addictions so far, but further studies will be needed to involve the programs of whole body health recovery in relation to suicide related variations for implementation of education for the cohort group. 102 Copyright 2016 SERSC
