1 NARCOTICS CONTROL BUREAU NEW DELHI DRUG SITUATION REPORT/SIGNIICANT EVENTS REPORT OR INDIA OR THE ONTH O OCTOBER 2016 ********** This report is based on the information received from various State and Central drug law enforcement agencies till the end of October Significant seizures effected earlier but reported during October 2016 are also incorporated in this report. ***********
2 SEIZURES EECTED IN THE ONTH O OCTOBER, 2016 On , officers of Directorate of Revenue Intelligence, uzaffarpur seized 475 kg of at uzaffarpur. 02 persons were arrested. On , officers of NCB, Amritsar Sub Zone in coordination with CBN, Amritsar seized 70 gram of at Chherheta Road, Narayangarh near India Gate, Amritsar. 01 person was arrested. The suspected source of the seized drug was South West Asia. On , officers of Central Bureau of Narcotics, Indore seized 700 gram of Alprazolam at Indore. 03 persons were arrested. On , officers of NCB, Ranchi Sub Zone seized 102 kg of near Sunder Nagar PS., Jamshedpur, Jharkhand. rom to officers of NCB, andi Sub Zone along with the SSB, ITBP, State Police and orest Deptt. destroyed illicit cultivation of cannabis spread over 178 acre of land in Abgal Thach, Bhelang Thach, alana, Bodogi, Kalga, Kochdi, Tunnga and Grahan etc. area under districts Kullu and anikaran of Himachal Pradesh. On , officers of Directorate of Revenue Intelligence, Vishakhapatnam busted 01 illicit clandestine laboratory at Jawahar Lal Nehru Pharma City, Thanam, Parawada, Visakhapatnam and seized kg of Alprazolam, kg of 4 th stage processed material, 330 liters of Orthoxylene & laboratory equipments. 05 persons were arrested. On , officers of Directorate of Revenue Intelligence, uzaffarpur seized 1437 kg of. 01 person was arrested. On , officers of NCB, Chandigarh Zonal Unit seized kg of Hashish. 02 persons were arrested. On , officers of NCB, Chandigarh Zonal Unit seized kg of Hashish and 260 gram of. 01 person was arrested. On , officers of NCB, Jodhpur Zonal Unit seized kg of at ChomuJaipur Highway. 03 persons were arrested. On , officers of NCB, umbai Zonal Unit seized kg of Hashish on near umbra Rickshaw. 02 persons were arrested. The Drug was concealed in 04 packets and carried in handbag by the accused. On , officers of NCB, Amritsar Sub Zone in coordination with BS, Khasa, Amritsar, Punjab seized kg of. The suspected source of the seized drug was South West Asia. On , officers of NCB, Guwahati Zonal Unit seized kg of at Jorabat, Guwahati. 01 person was arrested. On , officers of NCB, Patna Zonal Unit seized kg of Hashish near Petrol Pump Laukhara, East Champaran. 02 persons were arrested. On , officers of NCB, Bhubaneswar Sub Zone seized of 88 kg of at Bhubaneswer. 02 persons were arrested. On , officers of NCB, Chandigarh Zonal Unit seized 104 gram of. 02 persons were arrested.

On , officers of NCB, Dehradun Sub Zone seized kg of Hashish at ISBT, Dehradun. 01 person was arrested. On , officers of Central Bureau of Narcotics, Neemuch seized kg of Opium at Jawad anta, Neemuch. 01 person was arrested. On , officers of NCB, Kolkata Zonal Unit seized kg of at Ramlal Banrejee Road, Kolkata. 01 person war arrested. On , officers of Central Bureau of Narcotics, Gwalior seized 1690 ampoules of Pentalab at Khurjewala ohalla, Daulatgang, Lashkar, Gwalior. 01 person was arrested. rom to , officers of NCB, Guwahati Zonal Unit along with District Administration, State Excise and Local Police destroyed illicit cultivation of Cannabis over 143 acres of land spread at Pasania, Harihardola and South Kalamchoura area in Sepahijala district of Tripura. On , officers of Central Bureau of Narcotics, Bareilly seized 870 kg of Poppy Straw at BareillyBudaun Road, Devchara Tiraha, Balliya od. 02 persons were arrested. On , officers of NCB, Hyderabad Sub Zone seized kg of Amphetamine and busted 01 illicit clandestine laboratory from a residential house at Sainikpuri, Secunderabad in follow up operation conducted in connection with the seizure of kg of Amphetamine. On officers of NCB, Kolkata Zonal Unit in coordination with State Excise, Govt. of WB and W.B. Police destroyed illicit cultivation of cannabis spread over 2.76 acres of land in Coochbehar District under athabhanga PS. On officers of NCB, Kolkata Zonal Unit in coordination with State Excise, Govt. of WB and W.B. Police destroyed illicit cultivation of cannabis spread over 3.01 acres of land in Podochawkichara & Kodaldhowa. On , officers of NCB, Amritsar Sub Zone in coordination with BS, amdot, erozpur, Punjab seized kg of. The suspected source of the seized drug was South West Asia. On , offices of NCB, Kolkata Zonal Unit seized 6600 bottles of Phensedyl Cough Syrup at adan ohan Dutta Lane, PS Jorabagan, Kolkat. 02 persons were arrested. During the month of October, 2016, officers of Customs, PO, Kotla Road, New Delhi intercepted 03 parcels at oreign Post Office and seized 560 gram of Ketamine, 66 gram of Suspected Chemical and 140 gram of. The suspected destination of seized drug was Australia & Spain. SEIZURES EECTED EARLIER BUT REPORTED IN OCTOBER, 2016 During the month of September, 2016, officers of Sashatra Seema Bal (SSB) seized kg of, kg of Hashish, kg of Opium and of in 25 cases and arrested 27 persons including 05 nationals. The suspected source of the seized drugs in most of these cases was Nepal. *********
