It is also against the law to allow customers who have alcoholic beverages to remain on the premises of a licensed establishment after 2:30 a.m. In, there are no laws prohibiting the sale of alcohol on Sundays. does have laws governing noise created by businesses. 3 Litter Zoning In, it is legal for customers to leave the premise with open containers of alcohol. requires anyone who sells or dispenses alcoholic beverages to obtain a certificate from the Sheriff of permitting them to serve or sell alcohol. This certificate must be obtained within five days of employment and is valid for a period of two years. does not require any form of local server training. Town of Golden Meadow In the Town of Golden Meadow, no one may sell alcohol between the hours of 2 a.m. and 5 a.m. every day. All customers must be out of the licensed establishment by 2:30 a.m. every day. In the Town of Golden Meadow, there are no laws limiting sale of alcohol on Sunday. The Town of Golden Meadow does have laws governing noise created by businesses. Generally speaking, you should not create a level of noise that disturbs your neighbors. 4 Zoning In the Town of Golden Meadow, it is illegal for anyone to consume alcoholic beverages on any public street or sidewalk unless a waiver has been granted by the Town of Golden Meadow for a fair or festival sponsored by a bona- fide non- profit organization. The Town of Golden Meadow does not require any form of alcohol server permit, Bar Card or ABO Card. The Town of Golden Meadow does not require any form of local server training. Other Regulations In the Town of Golden Meadow, it is illegal to sell alcohol to anyone known to be a drunkard. Town of Lockport In the Town of Lockport, you may not sell or serve alcohol between the hours of 2 a.m. and 5:30 a.m. every day. Everyone must be off- premise by 2:30 a.m. every day. In the Town of Lockport, there are no laws prohibiting sale of alcohol on Sunday. The Town of Lockport does have laws governing noise created by businesses. 5 Zoning In the Town of Lockport, it is illegal to consume alcoholic beverages on the public streets, sidewalks, right- of- ways, parks, playgrounds or other public spaces unless in an area being used for a special event conducted by a not for profit organization. Possession of a glass container of any kind is prohibited at all times on the public streets, sidewalks, right- of- ways, parks, playgrounds or other public spaces. The Town of Lockport does not require any form of alcohol server permit, Bar Card or ABO Card. The Town of Lockport does not require any form of local server training. Other Regulations In the Town of Lockport, it is illegal to sell or serve alcoholic beverages to someone known to be a habitual drunkard. City of Thibodaux In the City of Thibodaux, it is illegal to sell or serve alcohol between the hours of 2 a.m. and 5:30 a.m. every day. For a business with a Class A On- premise consumption license, all customers must be out of the building by 2:30 every morning, Businesses with a Class A On- premise consumption license must be closed to the general public from the hours of 2:30 a.m. until 4 a.m. every day. In the City of Thibodaux, there are no laws prohibiting sale of alcohol on Sunday. The City of Thibodaux does have laws governing noise created by businesses. Generally speaking, you should not create a level of noise that disturbs your neighbors. For specific requirements of the noise ordinance, you should consult an attorney. Page 5 of 6 v. 0413
6 Litter Zoning In the City of Thibodaux, it is illegal to consume alcoholic beverages or possess an open container of alcoholic beverages while standing, sitting, walking or riding on a public street or sidewalk. There is an exemption for the open container law within the boundaries of any special event such as a fair or festive sponsored by a non- profit organization. Possession and consumption of any beverage in a glass container is prohibited at public parks and playgrounds in the City of Thibodaux. The City of Thibodaux does not require any form of alcohol server permit, Bar Card or ABO Card. The City of Thibodaux does not require any form of local server training.
