1 Catalyst Coalition: Youth Marijuana Use in Napa County Presented to: Napa County Board of Supervisors 10/8/2013

2 Catalyst Coalition Mission: To use our community's collaborative strength to address and combat underage use of alcohol, marijuana and other drugs in Napa County. History: In 2005, the Napa County Office of Education collaborated with agency partners to bring a Drug Free Communities Support Program funded by the Substance Abuse & Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) to Napa County and the Catalyst Coalition was born. There are teams in Calistoga, St. Helena, Napa and American Canyon comprised of a diverse group of community members. Successes: Social Host Ordinance; Red Ribbon Week; Every 15 Minutes; Physician s Screening Initiative; Be AHead of the Crowd: Use your brain, not weed; numerous educational presentations, collaborations, and events
