2 Know the difference. Appetite is something our mind experiences rather than our body. Hunger on the other hand is the body s natural signaling method which it uses to alert us that we are in need of more calories and nutrients in order to run optimally and function correctly. Knowing the difference in between these two feelings will help you control your weight for the foreseeable future. Next time you re sad or bored and have that feeling that you are hungry remember this is your appetite not hunger and a mental trick your brain is playing on you. The brain is always looking for ways to trick us therefore we must be on our best behavior and discipline our brain to know that when we are either sad or bored that we don t need to eat in order to feel better.
3 When we think about eating we normally think about how much Protein, Carbs and Fats does a certain item or items contain and overlook the most important aspect of food which is the Micronutrients contained within those Macronutrients (Protein, Carbs, Fats). Micronutrients play a vital role in our body, everything from secreting hormones that control your hunger and mental well being to creating new cells. The cells of the body signal the brain to eat macronutrients (Protein, Carbs and Fat) in order to break them down into micronutrients. So essentially the body runs off micronutrients and not macronutrients. So in order to fulfill the body and have it be satisfied, the body needs a plethora of micronutrients to satisfy each and every one of its cells. The cells need these micronutrients in order to maintain itself and perform all the bodies functions. So bringing in more micronutrients will help keep the body in a satisfied state longer. When in the search for Micronutrients you ll want to look for wholesome foods and not processed foods considering processed foods typically have a lot of the healthy nutrients stripped out. A good choice to go with is a natural greens powder which is simple to make and easy to carry with you or I recommend eating foods that are stored around the perimeter of the grocery store like fruits vegetables. 4 As with all good protein sources, protein is a handy tool in your arsenal for weight loss. Especially if you re looking to lose weight fast. Pea protein produces a plethora of peptides that delay the emptying of your stomach and secretion of ghrelin. In fact, pea protein matches dairy-based protein in its ability to help you feel full for longer. 5 Controversy has labeled fats as being bad for your health and saying they will lead to things like heart disease, high cholesterol, strokes and the list goes on.
