Energy Crisis: Natural Remedies to Help You Feel Your Best September 13, 2011 Join us for Retail and Consulting Webinars later this month 11 am, 6 pm MST Retail Wed 9/21 Consulting Thurs 9/22 Dr. Hugh A. Jenkins,N.D.,D.C.,BTA Clinician Naturopathic and Chiropractic Doctor NSP Regional Manager, and Up and coming National Manager in 2012 I am celebrating my 31st year with Nature s Sunshine. 1
ENERGY (Chi) YOUR VITAL FORCE Energy Strength of expression; force of utterance; power to impress the mind and arouse the feeling, life, and spirit. The capacity to perform work. The 3 rd facet of the 4 facets of a Brilliant Body Before we talk about Energy, we must talk about Fatigue. It is a feeling of weakness that can range from simple tiredness to total exhaustion. Over 50% of doctor visits are because of fatigue. It is not a disease, but a symptom. A symptom of heart disease, infection, depression, anemia, cancer, diabetes, blood pressure, neurological problems, and/or drug side effects. It is also related to lack of sleep, or lack of quality sleep due to sleep apnea or other conditions. 2
Fatigue (cont.) Fatigue may be accompanied by feelings of dizziness, nausea, heart palpitations or shortness of breath when people are overtired. If it does not respond to rest, or if it comes on suddenly or is accompanied by other symptoms, such as fever or pain, seek immediate medical help. Fatigue can also be caused by nutritional deficiencies, the number 1 cause of dis ease. Fatigue (cont.) It starts at the cellular level. When the mitochondria (power house of the cell) is operating efficiently, there is more than enough energy to operate the cell and, collectively, the organism (human). If, for some reason, there is mitochondrial dysfunction, power failure results > FATIGUE. By doing the BTA/QFA (urine and saliva) testing we can evaluate the function of the mitochondria and design a specific health program. The Digestive System An Energy Hog Food is your Best Medicine, but the wrong food is your Worse Enemy! Up to 2/3 of the energy your body produces daily is expended just to complete the process of digestion. It s a big job! Food either gives you the nutrients it has Whole Foods or takes away the nutrients it doesn t have SAD 3
Foods to avoid or limit Milk products, white sugar, white flour, fatty foods, red meats, and the artificial sweetener Sugar sweetened drinks, alcohol, and high caffeine drinks coffee, black tea, Red Bull and other energy drinks Possible sources of food allergy, including corn, dairy products, soy and wheat/gluten Many people want immediate energy boosters such as Red Bull, but a large amount of them also feel that these caffeinated drinks are not healthful. In reality, caffeine, a major ingredient in energy boosting drinks, is not as bad as some make it out to be. Like any supplement ingredient, caffeine can cause negative, harmful effects in certain sensitive individuals and/or when excessive amounts are consumed. In moderation, caffeine can improve physical performance and significantly enhance the mental performance parameters of concentration and memory. A large portion of our population desires greater energy, but caffeine can make certain individuals feel nauseated or jittery. 4
Most of these caffeine or energy booster drinks have a very Acidic ph. This acidic ph causes the body to take the Calcium, Magnesium and other nutrients from the bones and joints creating bone pain, muscle aches and FATIGUE! Foods to choose: Fresh fruit Green, leafy vegetables Whole grains Tuna Chicken Lentils Nuts and seeds THAI GO ENERGY COCKTAIL 1 Shot of Thai Go Drink 1 Shot of VitaWave 1 Shot of Mineral Chi Tonic 1 Scoop of Nature s Sea Calcium Purified Alkaline Water Mix together, drink and get ready for some great natural energy!!! 5
Ultimate GreenZone Cocktail 1 Scoop of Ultimate GreenZone Drops of Kidney Drainage Drops of Lymphatic Drainage Juice or Purified Alkaline Water Mix together and drink ****To Kick It Up ANotch**** Add to the Thai Go Cocktail and get ready for a Natural High DR. J s SOLSTIC WORKOUT COCKTAIL 1 Solstic Cardio 1 Solstic Energy 1 Solstic Revive 32 Ozs Alkaline Water Mix together ( Shaken and Not Stirred ). Drink before, during and after exercising for a painless energetic workout. Give Yourself a CLEANSTART It takes extra energy to neutralize toxins, which are manifested as Fatigue! Benefits Supports the natural, everyday cleansing of toxic waste from the body. Works without posing dangerous side effects. Improves energy and promotes a feeling of well being. 6
SUPER TRIO Benefits Combines the benefits of SuperOmega 3 EPA, Super Supplemental Vitamins and Minerals and Super ORAC antioxidant formula. Provides the nutrients your body needs simply and conveniently. Promotes vitality and longevity through adequate daily nutrition. Has a powerful oxidantscavenging capacity. Nature s Chi (TCM Conc.) The Chinese call the Vital Life Force or Energy that flows throughout the body THE CHI BENEFITS Supports cellular energy levels. Energizes the body during physical activity. Supports metabolism. May help reduce the body s desire to eat (according to Traditional Chinese Medicine) Stimulates the immune system. Invigorates blood circulation. If the Chi is stuck there is Stagnation of blood and lymph Pain Discomfort Swelling Dis ease 7
Release The Chi As the Chi flows >>>> the Blood will follow As the Blood flows the Energy increases and as the Energy increases there is Health, Wellness and Longevity Questions and Answers Thanks for Joining us! Retail Webinars Wednesday 9/21 Consulting Webinars Thursday 9/22 8
