2 Dear Industry Friends, For more than two decades, the National Lymphedema Network (NLN) remains one of the most prominent and well respected lymphedema organizations in the country. As a leader in lymphedema awareness and advocacy, the NLN remains true to its mission. An established non-profit organization, the NLN is well respected and, today, the NLN is the premier source of lymphedema-related information and education for patients, healthcare professionals, researchers, and the general public. Industry professionals have the opportunity to partner with the NLN to not only improve lymphedema treatment and care, but also to advance their own products and services. As the only national organization of its kind, the NLN offers unique marketing options: LymphLink: the industry s leading publication featuring the latest information on clinical practice, research, products, a resource guide, and services. This quarterly journal enjoys national and international circulation among patients, therapists, physicians, researchers, and the healthcare industry. It is easily recognized for its content. Lymphnet.org: one of the most comprehensive hubs of lymphedema information and services on the internet. On average, the NLN website generates between 12,000 and 13,000 unique visits per month and the number of visits continues to increase. Visitors include patients looking for general information about lymphedema, treatment referrals, support, and products. LE therapists and other interested healthcare professionals utilize our website to stay current with research, position papers, and the lymphedema community at large. Lymphnet.org is times the first resource people find when they begin searching for lymphedema information. Lymphedema Awareness Campaign and Kits: our biggest awareness campaign yet begins with the production of free Education Kits for all patients diagnosed with any type of cancer. Kits will include information booklets, awareness videos, information flyers to be shared with physicians, and other useful tools that will explain lymphedema in an easily understood, non-threatening way. Marilyn Westbrook Garment Fund: the only resource of its kind for patients in financial need to obtain lymphedema garments for treatment. 10 NLN s Awareness Campaign and Free Education Kits for All Cancer Patients The NLN is proud to announce our biggest awareness campaign, which includes the production of free Education Kits that will be offered to all patients diagnosed with any type of cancer. Kits will include information booklets, awareness videos, information flyers to be shared with physicians, and other useful tools that will explain lymphedema in an easily understood, non-threatening way. By providing patients with this basic knowledge, the NLN expects to enable patients to discuss lymphedema with their medical professionals and be able to ask more specific questions. The hope is that these kits and videos will create and assist a movement of lymphedema education and bring awareness not only to the cause, but also to your brand and products as well. 1. Circulation Starting production of Education Kits is 20, Kit Distribution The NLN will partner with oncologists, cancer centers, and related organizations to distribute kits to as many patients as possible.
