2 Services Free HIV and STI Testing Free HIV and STI testing takes place in HIV Ireland on the second and fourth Wednesdays of every month ( exclusive of holidays ). This is a walk-in clinic. Doors open at 1pm. Clinic starts at 1:30pm. Check our website for more details or testing@hivireland.ie Free Condoms Service Free condoms are available at HIV Ireland. Walk-In Service Drop in to our offices during opening hours and ask for free condoms at reception. On Request Organisations involved in the promotion of HIV prevention and sexual health awareness can access free condoms for distribution through their services or for specific events. Request forms are available on our website. Just Carry One Our free condoms service is part of our Just Carry One social media campaign which promotes consistent condom use to prevent HIV and STI transmission. 3 Training and Education Our professional / staff training and education programmes include: Let s Talk About Safer Sex ( four-day training for trainers programme ). HIV and STIs: a one-day workshop. Hepatitis: half-day workshop. HIV and HIV-related stigma workshops. HIV: an Overview for Counsellors. Living with HIV in Direct Provision ( for those working with asylum seekers or refugees ). STIs, Condoms and Safer Sex. Training Calendar Individuals can access our training and education programmes via our annual training calendar which is available on our website. Training on Request Organisations can access our professional / staff training programmes on request. Contact us for further details. 4 Support, Advocacy and Information HIV Ireland supports people living with HIV and provides HIV, STI, and Hepatitis information to the general public. Our support, advocacy and information services are free of charge and include: advocacy. HIV related social welfare and legal information. one-to-one support. referral services. HIV / sexual health / harm reduction information. support to non-sector professionals encountering HIV positive, or at-risk, clients. support to agencies engaging in street outreach. Free Counselling HIV Ireland provides free counselling to those living with HIV as well as to their families and partners. We also provide pre- and post-test counselling. Street Outreach HIV Ireland seeks opportunities to engage with vulnerable and marginalised groups. Through Street Outreach we distribute free condoms and facilitate access to information and testing for those who may be at risk of HIV or Hepatitis transmission or other STIs.

5 Events Promotion HIV Ireland hosts information stands at specific events such as Freshers Week and SHAG Week in third-level colleges, at conferences, community health fairs, and at social events. Information stands include the distribution of free condoms and HIV and sexual health-related booklets and leaflets. Contact us if your organisation is planning an event and requires an information stand. NewsDesk Weekly This weekly resource includes updates on relevant national, European and international news and policy issues on HIV, hepatitis and sexual health-related issues. The service is provided free to a range of organisations and individuals interested in these areas, and offers a summary of weekly news highlights from various sources including national and local print media and related-websites. Subscribers receive the NewsDesk by and you can subscribe to the NewsDesk on our website. Resources A variety of information booklets and leaflets on HIV, hepatitis, and STIs are available on request to organisations ( free of charge ). Request forms are available on our website.

7 Our Objectives To work towards reducing the prevalence of HIV in Ireland through effective prevention strategies. To increase public awareness and understanding around HIV and AIDS and to reduce the stigma and discrimination connected with HIV and AIDS. To improve the quality of life for people living with HIV through quality evidence-based support and advocacy services. To enhance the promotion of broader sexual health objectives through education and training and through health promotion projects/campaigns in line with national policy. To inform and to influence policy around issues concerning HIV prevention and sexual health and relating to the lives of people living with HIV. To enhance the organisational effectiveness and efficiencies of HIV Ireland.
