Specificity has been evaluated in normal donors and sera with other viral infections, demonstrating a very good performance.

It is an enzyme immunoblot assay which incorporates on a same strip four HCV recombinant proteins, from the Core, NS3, NS4, and NS5 regions of the HCV genome. As the HCV proteins are expressed as GST fusion proteins, an additional GST control band is included to indicate reactivity to native GST. Specificity was assessed in different studies, showing high specificity both in blood donor samples and in clinical specimens from acute virall infections. bioblot HTLV Intended Use The bioblot HTLV is intended as a supplemental antibody assay for characterising samples found repeatedly reactive by screening methods. bioblot HTLV has a high sensitivity and specificity for both the confirmation and differentiation of HTLV-I and HTLV-II seroreactivities. 8 Autoblot 3000 Autoblot 3000 is an automated instrument for reagent dispensing, incubation with longitudinal agitation, washing and reaction stop.
