9 Strategic Information USAID has supported the development of the Strategic Information (SI) systems for the Emergency Plan: Participated in design of SI Reporting Guidance Adoption of the DHS, AIS and SPA survey questionnaires to SI reporting standards Managed the development of the Country Operation Plan & Reporting (COPR) Database Four staff serve as SI Advisors to country programs

10 Operational Research Operational research to develop and evaluate new tools to implement programs in resourcelimited settings ARV therapy Prevention of mother-to-child transmission Increasing access to treatment and care services by people with HIV/AIDS One study in Uganda increased youth VCT attendance from 66,000 to 112,000
