There is a possibility of allergic or hypersensitivity reactions to cephalosporins if one has an allergic reaction to penicillin. Chronic Potential Health Effects: Possible allergic reaction(hypersensitization) to material if inhaled, ingested or in contact with skin. Allergic reactions may include hives or welts, itching redness of skin or skin rash, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing. Ingestion: Prolonged or repeated ingestion may also cause symptoms similar to that of acute ingestion.
