2 How to use this workbook: This workbook is a companion document for JEMI s How to Talk to God and Fix Your Health online course. The first part of the workbook contains a number of exercises that are also embedded in the relevant module of the online course, but have been reprinted here, for your convenience. The exercises are for you, to help you to internalize what you re learning on the course, and to apply it directly to your own life, health and circumstances. You aren t required to do them; and you shouldn t send your answers in to JEMI. That said, if you have any questions about the questions (or about your answers ) I m here to help you anyway I can, so please drop me a line. (You ll find my contact details on the back page of this workbook). The second part of the workbook contains a number of questions about the material you ve been learning throughout the module. Again, you aren t required to do them if you don t want to, and you don t need to send them in to JEMI (although you can if you have a question about something, and you want some feedback). BUT if you want to get a diploma at the end of this course, you will have to take an exam on the material you ve learned, and the questions at the end of each module will give you a good idea of the sorts of things you ll be expected to know. 4 Exercise 1: Identify your physical issues and / or chronic illnesses Take a few moments and try to answer the following questions: 1. What illnesses have you had, in the last 12 months? (NB: include even the 'small stuff', like colds, coughs, piles and headaches.) 2. Are any of these illnesses recurrent (ie, you get them repeatedly)? 3. Are any of these illnesses chronic (ie, they have periods where they flare up, and periods where they calm down, but you're never fully free of them)? 4. What physical problems do you have? (aches and pains; broken bones; pigeon toes; poor eyesight, etc)? 5. Do you have any autoimmune diseases? (more common autoimmune diseases include things eczema, asthma, allergies, fibromyalgia, MS etc) Hopefully, you don't have loads of things on your list. If you do, try to prioritise them by putting a number '1' next to the illness or physical issue that's the most serious, or affects your quality of life the most negatively. That's your priority. 5 Exercise 2: Start connecting the dots Start connecting the dots Now that you know what your physical issues are, an easy way to start is to check to see what meridian, or meridians, they could be associated with, using the 'Meridians and their associated physical issues' tool, below. 1) Look up your physical issue, and make a note of the meridian it's often connected to. 2) Start to look for patterns, or a recurring theme. What meridian, or meridians, seems to be coming up the most often? 8 Exercise 3: Meridians and their associated emotions Now you've identified which particular meridian seems to prominently featuring in your physical issues, it's time to head over to the 'Meridians and their associated emotions' tool, below, to start identifying what blocked or repressed emotions may be causing the problem. To use the table below, simply look up the meridian in question, and make a note of the associated emotions. Do any of the emotions listed resonate with you, or ring a bell? Which? 9 Remember, that you're particularly interested in trying to spot a repressed emotion that may now be showing up as a physical issue. Emotions get repressed when you don't accept them, validate them or let yourself connect them consciously, so pay particular attention to any emotion listed for your particular meridian where you: Experience a strong reaction to the thought that you may have it (such as indignation, outrage, upset, shock, denial or fear) Think or know you may have had that problem in the past, but now you believe it's gone. 10 Exercise 4: What s pressing your buttons? - Reprise 1) Go back to the list of negative emotions that you starred at the end of Module 5, as part of the last Action Point exercise. This list represents your subconscious buttons, that can cause you to 'choose against' yourself, and act in ways that consciously, you don't want and don't like. 2) What connections can you make, between the negative emotions you starred, and the information you now have from doing the last three exercises? 3) Do any of your 'buttons' match up to one of the physical issues or meridians you've identified in this module? Write down your insights, below: Page 10
