6 July 2008 Submission Starts: Acupuncturists now have a sub-code under Health Diagnosing and Treating Practitioners, All Other Acupuncturists labeled as a new and emerging profession by Bright Outlook. July 2014 Sent official request to the BLS Standard Occupation Classification Policy Committee (SOCPC) for Acupuncturists to obtain an independent occupational code.
