1 TENDER NOTICE 1 INVITATION FOR BIDS invites sealed bids/tenders from manufacturers, importers/sole Agents of Foreign Principals and authorized distributors of manufacturers for the procurement of Medicines for Tender- A, and License Holders local bidders for Tender-B for the year on FOR basis at Abbasia Campus, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur. Interested bidders may get the Tender Documents separately containing detailed specifications, terms and conditions from the Purchase Section, Treasurer s Office Abbasia Campus (Old), the Islamia University of Bahawalpur during office hours 8:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. along with payment of (non refundable fee) of Rs.1000/- (for each category) through Bank challan HBL in A/C or pay order in the name of the Treasurer Islamia University of Bahawalpur for bidding document OR can be down loaded from the IUB Website or PPRA website % bid security of total value (Refundable) in shape of pay order shall be attached with the bid, otherwise bid will be rejected. 3. The rates should be quoted inclusive all taxes. The firm will provide income tax, professional tax and GST clearance certificate. Taxes will be applicable as per Govt. Rules & Regulations. 4. Single Stage Two Envelopes bidding procedure will be adopted as per PPRA Rules. The Envelopes shall be marked as TECHNICAL PROPOSAL AND FINANCIAL PROPOSAL in legible letters. Financial Proposal of bids found technically non-responsive shall be returned un-opened. 5. Procurement shall be governed under the PPRA Rules. 6. however, reserves the rights to reject all bids at any time prior to acceptance of a bid as per clause 35 of the Punjab Procurement Rules and grounds of rejection will be conveyed to the bidders upon their request. 7. Tender should reach in the Treasurer s Office upto by 11:00 A.M. Tenders will be opened on the same day at 11:30 AM in the presence of bidders or their representatives. 8. All bids submitted after the given time shall not be accepted. 9. The rates should be valid upto 90-days from the date of opening the tender. 10. Over writing and cutting in bids offered is not acceptable, without stamp & sign. 3. At the time of Technical/Bid Proposal, sample of medicines must be provided by the firm. Qualification or Disqualification will be on the basis of providing sample. 4. The firm will be black listed if: a) Unable to supply the stock as per its offered bid. b) On receiving unsatisfactory DTL report of supplied stock: 5. The firm/supplier is bound to pay DTL report fee. 6. All the payments will be made to firm after complete supply of stocks and satisfactory DTL reports of supplied stock 7. At the time of supply the shelf life must be 90% for national and 80% for imported Medicines items. 8. All rates be quoted inclusive all taxes. 9. The interested pharmaceutical companies/authorized distributors should give full address of their head office & branch offices with Telephone/Fax numbers and contact persons. 10. Rejection of incomplete supplies or delay in services will render the supply order liable to be cancelled and the supply order will be awarded to 2 nd lowest bidder. 11. Any item or quantity of medicines contained in the list can be reduced/increased or removed from the tender by the Purchase Committee. 12. In case of any dispute, the decision of Vice Chancellor, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur will be final and no appeal will be admissible against that decision. 13. Other terms & conditions will be entertained at the time of procurement.
