2 Specialty Additives and Precursors for the Coatings Industr y BASF offers a wide range of specialty additives and precursors for the optimization of coating formulations and the improvement of their performance. BASF Care Chemicals & Formulators provides Specialty Additives such as ionic and nonionic emulsifiers, dispersing and wetting agents, defoamers, adhesion promotors, matting agents, plasticizers and biocides for application in automotive and industrial coatings, wood and decorative coatings as well as printing inks. Within our product range we offer polyalkylene glycols as components in resin systems as well as precursors for UV-curable coatings. Our products are used in, for example, electrodeposition processes in the automotive sector, for UV-curable coatings, and in the range of industrial coatings can coatings. Anionic emulsifiers/stabilizers Emulphor FAS 30 For production of dispersions with low particle size and resistance against electrolytes. For styrene, acrylic and vinyl acetate latexes. Substitute for anionic alkylphenol ethoxylate derivatives (e.g. alkylphenol ether sulfates). Lutensit A-BO Excellent emulsifier and wetting agent for dispersions. Lutensol TO 8, TO 10, TO 12, TO 15 Used as Coemulsifiers in emulsion polymerization for all types of monomer systems. Lutensol AT 11, AT 18, AT 25, AT 50 Used as Coemulsifiers in emulsion polymerization allowing dispersions to exhibit high mechanical and electrolyte stability as well as low particle size.
