It has been six years now. I miss you more and more every day. I know you are safe and well up there with my dad, your parents, Brett, Mark, Uncle Jean and Cathy. I know there, the party never ends. The boys are well. Kevin has really stepped up at the shop and is doing so well. Eric is now a senior in high school. I miss you Bruce. We were supposed to grow old, and travel the world together. I am doing better now. I have much help from family and good friends. It does not get any easier, Bruce. I have a hole in my heart that will always be there. We have a new family member. This year, Harper Rose was born on our anniversary. Just think, it was on our special day, and she is perfect. With each passing day Bruce, you are missed more and more. We love you. In Loving Memory From football practice To a dirt bike race, Chris always has A smile on his face. Rather he got a toy At the store or a trophy From his coach, A hug to Chris meant the most. His eyes shine, His smile a glow, I proudly watched A young man grow. In his life From day to day, Chris always helped Others along the way. He loved sports, especially baseball - his favorite team was the Atlanta Braves and he also liked the Tampa Bay Rays. He was an avid Gator football fan too. He played baseball until he was 16 and received many trophies. He loved music, video games and children, although he didn t have any of his own. He was also learning how to play rugby. He worked at the same job since he was 16 and he loved it. He was planning on getting married. He had just proposed to his girlfriend a month before he passed away. He even flew to Chicago to ask her parents if it was ok and of course they said yes. He was my only child and was a joy to have in my life. I m glad that he was able to help others to live on.

He possessed such a positive light that it drew you in and made you believe and want to do more with your life. James made you feel that you could accomplish anything. He was a dedicated father of two beautiful girls, Triniti and Destini Evans, and the husband of one wife, Gail Evans. James had over two decades of experience working with companies and organizations, churches, individuals, youth and parents, and was a much sought after motivational speaker on the Power of Human Worth. He was the Founder and former Executive Director of the Tampa Bay Academy of Hope, (TBAH), a not-for-profit organization servicing at risk youth in the Tampa Bay area. During his 15 year tenure at TBAH, James raised over $10 million dollars to benefit inner city children and impacted and improved value of life for over 100,000 TBAH participants. James was a servant leader that made a huge impact to his community for the short time he was with us, resulting in his legacy living on in all those that were fortunate to have their lives touched by him.

5 Service of Remembrance Book of Memories, Sample Submission 5 [Sample tribute below, a parent s perspective] There is no greater joy in life than the birth of your child, yet no greater pain in their death. There s no easy way to tell the story of the death of your child; there s no other event that tugs at the heart with more anguish. Sarah was like a butterfly. There s a certain poetry to butterflies, richly colored... it s as if flowers themselves have taken flight. But she was much more than that. She was a loving and compassionate mother, daughter, sister and a friend with a free spirit. She was a Christian, the high point of her life was when she gave her life to Christ; at that moment she became a child of God and received the greatest gift of all victory over death. In death, Sarah has taught us much about life: how to face a tragedy through faith in God, the importance of family and friends, and the understanding that suffering is comforted when suffering has meaning. For most people, death ends everything physical, but not always. In death Sarah became a part of the most special kind of gift there is giving life to others through organ donation. But why do we have to suffer the unbearable sorrow for her brief life? On November 28, 2015, Sarah claimed the promise of everlasting-life. Her glowing smile is beaming now; looking down upon us, seeing things we cannot see and not needing to ask why.
