Strain D is wild type yeast. UV Irradiated indicates the portion of the plate subjected to UV irradiation immediately after replica plating. All plates were incubated in the dark after irradiation. The completely black-shaded areas indicate growth of all cells plated. The black dots indicate that only some cells that were plated grew into colonies.
