4 1 Additional Services The following vaccination programmes are classified as additional services funded under Global Sum GP practices who provide childhood vaccines and immunisations as part of additional services under a GMS contract are required to offer to provide the immunisations outlined below: Vaccination Programme Childhood Immunisations Diphtheria, tetanus, poliomyelitis, pertussis and Haemophilus influenza type B (DTa/IPV/HIB) primary course Measles, Mumps and Rubella (MMR) Meningitis C (the 3 month doses is to be removed from 1 July 2016) Haemophilus influenza Rotavirus Pneumococcal (PCV) for babies Haemophilus influenza type B and Meningitis C (HIB/MenC) Diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis and polio (dtap/ipv, or DTaP/IPV) Tetanus, diphtheria and polio (Td/IPV) Detail of SFE Section 11 (also seen Annex I of the SFE for the immunisation schedule) This section makes provision for payments to be paid to contractors, who are contracted to provide the following vaccination programmes as part of an additional service: Vaccination Programmes Other additional services Shingles Routine Immunisation (70 year olds & previously eligible up to 80 years) MMR for persons aged 16 and over Hepatitis B for babies Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) Booster Meningococcal containing C Booster Detail of SFE Section 14 SFE Section 14A SFE Section 14B SFE Section 14C SFE Section 14D Contractors who offer and provided immunisation referred to in the tables below as part of additional services and must follow the guidance and information set out in Information against infectious diseases The Green Book: Vaccination Programme which are not required for the purpose of foreign travel Anthrax Diphtheria, Tetanus and Polio (DtaP/Hib;DtaP/IPV: dtap/ipv, Td/IPV) Hepatitis A Measles, mumps & rubella (MMR) Meningococcal Vaccine Paratyphoid (no vaccine currently exists for the immunisation Annex B Vaccines and Immunisations Chapter 1 & Chapter 2 4

5 of paratyphoid) Rabies (pre-exposure) Smallpox Vaccination Programme required for the purpose of foreign travel Cholera Hepatitis A Paratyphoid (no vaccine currently exists for the immunisation of paratyphoid) Poliomyelitis Smallpox Vaccination Programme required for the case of a localised outbreak Anthrax Diphtheria Meningococcal Group C or MenACWY as appropriate Poliomyelitis Rabies Tetanus Vaccines and Immunisations Chapter 3 Vaccines and Immunisations Chapter 4 2 Enhanced Services The following vaccination programmes are classified as enhanced services these are services other than essential or additional services (an enhanced level of service provision) that the GP practice agrees under the contract to provide in accordance with the specification: Vaccination Programme Childhood Seasonal Flu (2-4 year olds) Meningococcal ACWY 18 years on 31 August 2015 Meningococcal ACWY Freshers (19-25years) Meningococcal B for Infants Pertussis for pregnant women Shingles Catch-up (78 years and if not already vaccinated eligible up to 80 years) Seasonal Influenza and Pneumococcal (PPV) (Directed Enhanced Service (DES)) Details of these programmes can be found in the service specification via NHS England website: k/commissioning/gpcontract/ 5
