4 1 ABR, ASSR and OAE testing on one platform The Eclipse is the perfect hardware platform for acquiring quality ABR, ASSR, DPOAE and TEOAE recordings. 5 3The ABR / ASSR PreAmplifier sets new standards New, advanced electronic amplification devices reduce the noise level of the preamplifier to an incredibly low level - half of what has previously been possible with the best preamplifier designs. Lower noise means cleaner recordings. 4Patented CE-Chirp and CE-Chirp LS stimuli provide larger response amplitudes The CE-Chirp stimulus family (CE-Chirp, CE-Chirp LS, NB CE-Chirp,NB CE-Chirp LS) provides superior alternatives to traditional Clicks and Tone Bursts for threshold testing. These well documented stimuli provide superior response waveforms that are up to twice as large as responses elicited by the equivalent Click or TB stimuli. This reduces test time and improves accuracy. CE-Chirps are implemented in the ABR and ASSR modules.

6 5Bayesian Weighting reduces noise By including Bayesian Weighting in your ABR averaging, waveforms will stabilize faster and the residual noise in your recordings will be significantly reduced. The running average continuously adapts to the patient s noise level during the recording which reduces the importance of having the patient being quiet at all times during the recording. This can be a huge time saving benefit. Rather than testing for a certain number of sweeps, the residual noise should be used as a stop criterion. 6 Monitor residual noise during measurements Rather than relying on a fixed number of sweeps to decide when to stop averaging in ABR, a residual noise target for the waveform should be used as a more relevant stop criterion. This will ensure recordings close to threshold are valid - both for reliably identifying a response just above threshold, and for being confident of the absence of a response just below threshold. In addition to ensuring reliability such a procedure can also often save test time.

7 7ASSR in half the time Not until the advent of the Interacoustics ASSR system, has the true potential of ASSR testing been revealed. The long test times of traditional ASSR systems are now reduced by 50%. This is achieved by applying NB CE-Chirp stimuli and new powerful automated response detection methods. Results are presented as an Estimated Audiogram, and this can be transferred to NOAH for direct use in hearing aid fitting. 8Very short test times The combined effects of the strong response amplitudes evoked by the CE-Chirp stimulus family, the low noise through the new preamplifier and the Bayesian weighted averaging technique result in vastly improved ABR and ASSR test times. In addition, the residual noise calculator and various response quality indicators assist the examiner in running more effective sessions. For ASSR the new detection algorithm also helps reduce test time.

8 9Dedicated VEMP testing with increased accuracy The ability of the system to provide visual feedback of muscle contraction to the patient during testing helps the patient to balance Left and the Right sided tests. Applying EMG based scaling of the obtained waveforms ensures a balanced comparison of the left and right responses which is crucial for correct diagnosis.
