1 Lab Provisional Procedures NOTE: Bridges with pontics require a pontic cure cycle. 1. Fill in the edentulous areas (in situ model) 2. Make a silicone matrix and transfer to final model 3. Apply the model separator 4. Express the enamel, then smooth out 5. Express the dentine 6. Quickly place the matrix 7. Wait 2 minutes and remove 8. Add on additional material if necessary 9. Remove the excess material 10. Apply the sealer and cure using the correct cycle 11. Remove from the model and finish 12. Sandblast to clean 13. Apply again sealer/glaze and cure 14. Completed restoration

5 The demand for provisionals is increasing, as well as the material requirements for provisional restorations. The popular use of implant therapy has significantly increased the service lifetime of provisionals from the conventional one to two weeks, to up to six months use. Features, such as flexural strength and wear resistance become more and more important. It is desirable that a provisional system is strong and durable, and adapts well to a tooth for marginal fit. 6 Unbelievably easy to handle All different Eclipse radica materials can be layered in a fast and easy way. While using the matrix technique the lab process is simplified and sources of error are limited. Small defects can easily be adjusted or repaired. Appliances made of Eclipse radica can be relined with many traditional reline materials and can be cemented with most temporary cements.
