The scanner must be calibrated in accordance with the manufacturer s specifications before it is used. 2. The following aspects must be checked before the scanning procedure is started: The model analog situation must match the customer s corresponding job The model analogs must be completely free of damage (colour code comparison of model analog, freely accessible model analog shoulder, free from raised areas such as plaster deposits) 3. There are three different CADPositioner versions available for the scanning procedure depending on the implant system (see below exceptions: Straumann Variobase restorations and two-piece customised CAMLOG abutments). Once the corresponding CADPositioner for the respective system has been selected, we recommend using the screwdriver corresponding to the respective implant system and the recommended torque to tighten the technical screw. 5. Following the scanning procedure, the respective CADPositioner types are matched in the software used. As an example, the matching is performed using the 3-point registration system. 6. The marked reference/matching points should always be selected in such a way when screwing in the CADPositioner that there is no chance of shadows being formed by the remaining dentition/adjacent teeth. We recommend vestibular/palatinal or buccal/ lingual orientation of the matching surfaces. 1
