9 just smile Treatment with implants After a careful diagnosis and detailed planning of the treatment, the implants are inserted in the maxillary or mandibular bone in a minimally invasive intervention with local anaesthetic. This intervention is followed by a healing period that can last from 3 to 6 months, during which the bone grows and strengthens around the implant, creating optimum stability. Once the healing period is over, the definitive tooth is screwed or cemented onto the implant abutment. In some cases, the initial stability of the implant is good enough to permit a provisional tooth to be placed on the implant immediately after the intervention (immediate loading).

11 just smile Costs There is no general rule to define the cost of implant treatment. This basically depends on the condition of the patient s oral cavity and the type of treatment planned. Your dentist will tell you which is the most appropriate treatment for your specific case and what will be the cost. Implant treatment generally involves a greater initial investment compared to treatment with conventional prosthetics. Despite this, it is still cheaper in the long term, as with careful oral hygiene and regular checkups, it is a definitive solution for deteriorated or missing teeth. Scientific studies show that 95% of dental implants are still working perfectly well 10 years after insertion.
