3 How does it work? Developed by Dr jorge Perez, ClearSmile Aligner 2.0 is a set of transparent aligners used to correct malpositioned teeth. Manufactured from an exclusive stretch-resistant, intelligent material and custom made for each patient, the ClearSmile Aligner 2.0 uses small amounts of pressure precisely positioned to gently and progressively correct dental misalignment. Using the same diagnostic approach as the Inman Aligner, the ClearSmile Aligner 2.0 works hand in hand with other IAS Academy appliances. Each Aligner stage is usually worn for 10 days before switching to the next, each ClearSmile Aligner incrementally repositions the teeth into the desired position, until alignment is complete. Treatment times vary. What are the steps from consultation to optimal treatment results? 1. Consultation with the patient A detailed assessment is essential to make sure your patient is a suitable candidate for ClearSmile Aligner Archwize simulation Once the patient has decided to proceed with the treatment, impressions or Intra oral scan (IOS) are taken and an Archwize simulation is produced to show them the final result on a virtual 3D model. Adjustments can be made if required. 3. ClearSmile Aligner 2.0 production The clinical records (Photos, online prescription, impressions/ios) are then sent to the laboratory so that they can fabricate the custom ClearSmile aligners to the highest standards using a combination of 3D printing and moulding. 4. Treatment New impressions/ios may be taken every 6-14 aligners depending on the complexity, to ensure that the treatment goals are met. You will need to regularly monitor the progress of the ClearSmile Aligner 2.0 treatment. 5. Retention As with all orthodontic treatment retention is required to avoid a degree of relapse.

Archwize TM reports indicate where space creation is needed (IPR) and how much in total is needed to achieve the prescribed archform. Activation of cellular changes within the periodontal ligament by applying gentle forces. Progression of osteoclast activity to allow movement to the programmed position within that stage. Remodeller aligner to allow osteoblasts to finish remodelling before starting the cycle again. How does ClearSmile Aligner 2.0 compare with other aligners? ClearSmile Aligner 2.0 is identifiably more durable in its ability to resist cracking under continuous impact, when compared with other leading clear aligners, thanks to its improved proprietary material.
