3 Fitness Industry Traineeships What is a Traineeship? A traineeship is a fully funded education and training programme with work experience that unlocks the great potential of young people between the ages of and prepares you for your future careers. By the end of our traineeship you will have real industry qualifications and experience, ready to start your health and fitness career. What is included in a Body Focus Traineeship? Level 2 Certificate in Fitness Instruction English, Maths and Functional Skills Training Work Placement within a health & fitness organisation Opportunity for progression to apprenticeship, employment or further training such as Level 3 Personal Training

5 Blended Study Options. E-learning Body Focus Training provide all learners with logins to our Online Learning Portal. Here you will find digital lectures and learning resources to help you absorb the course information in the most efficient way possible. (Suitable for desktop and tablet devices) Live Tutoring Sessions Visit our training centre or attend one of our group tutoring sessions within one of our other venues. If you prefer to learn in a group or prefer a face to face tutor when learning then Body Focus also provide this option for students. (Please get in touch for schedule of tutoring sessions)

6 Online Fitness Qualifications For people who would prefer to learn entirely online Body Focus can offer fully comprehensive fitness qualifications delivered almost completely online. Through awarding body EDUFIT our online Personal Training Diploma is delivered as almost virtual reality! Therefore the learner can receive the best possible education all online. Other courses can be studied online with the Body Focus Active IQ elearning platform

7 Employment Opportunities. With the completion of your Level 3 Diploma in Personal Training & Fitness Instruction you will have gained the standard in education required to work as a Personal Trainer or Fitness Instructor in a variety of institutions, such as: Gyms & Leisure Centres Hotels, Holiday Resorts & Spas Fitness Supplement & Retail Cruise Ships Work Abroad (as the qualification is internationally accepted) Start your own business as a Fitness Professional.

9 CPD (Continuous Professional Development) Courses such as Yoga Instruction, Pilates Instruction etc can be completed separately.

10 All courses are fully accredited by fitness industry awarding bodies of choice, Active IQ and Edufit. All course tutors, assessors and verifiers are all members of the Register of Exercise Professionals.

11 Funding Options 19+ Advanced Learner Loan The Government has introduced these loans to help learners, aged 19 and over, in further education pay the college or training organisation fee. Am I eligible for a 19+ Advanced Learning Loan? To be eligible for one of these loans you must: - be aged 19 or over at the start of your course; - starting your course on or after 1 August; - be undertaking a course at Level 3 or above; - be undertaking an eligible course with an approved college or training organisation in England. Examples include: Level 3 Personal Trainer Course, Level 3 Sports Massage, Level 3 Exercise Referral Does getting a loan depend on my income or credit history? No. Getting a loan doesn t depend on your income and credit checks aren t carried out. Repayments are based on your income and won t begin until your income is over 404 a week, 1,750 a month or 21,000 a year in which case the repayment is around 7 per month.
