For exam: VL DUPLEX EXTREMITY BILATERAL (COMPLETE) / METHOD/TECHNIQUE: The veins of the bilateral upper extremities were studied at multiple superficial veins of the arms.
Normal duplex upper bilateral BILATERAL DUPLEX VENOUS SCAN OF THE UPPER EXTREMITIES METHOD/TECHNIQUE: The veins of the bilateral upper extremities were studied at multiple levels. The vessels were interrogated using B-mode ultrasound with compression spectral and/or color Doppler analysis. Response to flow augmentation was evaluated in select deep and superficial veins of the arms. FINDINGS: Bilaterally the jugular veins are patent and compressible as are the subclavian, axillary, and brachial veins. Doppler signals are normal in the subclavian and axillary veins. The radial, ulnar, cephalic, and basilic veins are also patent and compressible. IMPRESSION: Normal venous duplex scan of the upper extremities.
Normal for left upper extremity DUPLEX VENOUS SCAN OF THE LEFT ARM METHOD/TECHNIQUE: The veins of the left upper extremity were studied at multiple FINDINGS: On the left, the jugular vein is patent and compressible as are the subclavian, axillary, and brachial veins. Doppler signals are normal in the subclavian and axillary veins. The radial, ulnar, cephalic, and basilic veins are also patent and compressible. IMPRESSION: Normal venous duplex scan of the left arm.
Normal for right upper extremity DUPLEX VENOUS SCAN OF THE RIGHT ARM METHOD/TECHNIQUE: The veins of the right upper extremity were studied at multiple FINDINGS: On the right, the jugular vein is patent and compressible as are the subclavian, axillary, and brachial veins. Doppler signals are normal in the subclavian and axillary veins. The radial, ulnar, cephalic, and basilic veins are also patent and compressible. IMPRESSION: Normal venous duplex scan of the right arm.
For bilateral extremity lower LOWER EXTREMITY DUPLEX VENOUS SONOGRAM, COMPLETE METHOD/TECHNIQUE: The veins of the bilateral lower extremities were studied at multiple superficial veins of the legs. FINDINGS: B-mode examination shows normal compressible veins. Doppler examination shows normal phasic flow and normal augmentation. There is no sign of deep venous thrombosis or other pathology. CONCLUSION: Negative bilateral lower extremity duplex venous sonogram.
Normal for left lower extremity LEFT LOWER EXTREMITY DUPLEX VENOUS SONOGRAM, LIMITED METHOD/TECHNIQUE: The veins of the left lower extremity were studied at multiple FINDINGS: B-mode examination shows normal compressible veins. Doppler examination shows normal phasic flow and normal augmentation. There is no sign of deep venous thrombosis or other pathology. CONCLUSION: Negative left lower extremity duplex venous sonogram.
Normal right lower extremity RIGHT LOWER EXTREMITY DUPLEX VENOUS SONOGRAM, LIMITED METHOD/TECHNIQUE: The veins of the right lower extremity were studied at multiple FINDINGS: B-mode examination shows normal compressible veins. Doppler examination shows normal phasic flow and normal augmentation. There is no sign of deep venous thrombosis or other pathology. CONCLUSION: Negative right lower extremity duplex venous sonogram.
