To continue working towards a society more understanding of mental health, it s vital we continue our connections with local people and businesses, who want to make a difference. For our last information pack, we share details of how you and your organisation can stay connected with York Mind.

2 Mental Health Training Mental ill-health affects 1 in 4 of us during our lifetime. With these figures, it s likely that we will find ourselves supporting someone else at some point too. If you, your employer or group would like some training in mental health, York Mind can help. We offer regular courses in: Mental Health First Aid (2 day course) Supporting Mental Health in the workplace (for Managers / Staff) Stress Management ASIST (2-day course, Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training) SafeTalk (1/2 day course) Mindfulness We can also deliver bespoke training, based on your needs from 1 hour s taster session, to a structured series of workshops (and everything in-between). 5 Meet us / Make a self referral Meet York Mind We hold monthly Professional Visits at York Mind HQ in Clifton, for anyone in the community who wants to know more about us. Visits last approximately 1 hour. You ll get to meet our staff team, learn about who we are, what we do, and see where we do it from. To view our upcoming Professional Visit dates, and to book your place for free, please visit: Make a Self-Referral If you, or someone you know needs some support, York Mind is here to help. We provide a range of one-to-one and group activities for people aged 8+, designed to help you manage your own mental health and recovery. Anyone can submit a Self Referral it is not a requirement that you visit your GP/Healthcare professional first (though we would recommend that you do). To submit a Referral Form, simply visit:
