2 Draft Terms of Reference v2 Name of group Overall role i Key tasks ii Mental Health Strategic Board To provide strategic leadership to improve the mental health and emotional wellbeing of adults in Newcastle To have a shared understanding of local need in relation to adult mental health drawing on statistical information; research; and, stakeholder feedback. To develop shared priorities in relation to mental health drawing on awareness of existing performance; legislation and policy; and, resource availability To make sure appropriate change/improvement delivery arrangements are in place To establish the Delivery Groups which report to it and set the workplan for those groups based on agreed strategic priorities. Plan, deliver and monitor the activity and effectiveness of joint interventions maximising use of resources of all partner organisations, including the allocation of grant funding where appropriate. Create opportunities for providers and practitioners to meet, share ideas and plan innovations.
