2 2019 IN THE MOOD GALA To help us continue to expand the important services we offer, MDAM is hosting the 2019 In the Mood Gala on February 23rd, 2019 at the Fort Garry Hotel in the Grand Ballroom. We are celebrating two major milestones at this years Gala; not only is this the 10th anniversary of our Gala, but it is also the 35th anniversary of MDAM! Our In the Mood Gala continues to be our most significant fundraiser each year and its success is critical to maintaining and growing the services we offer. Over the past year we had 95,000 contacts with Manitoban's and that number continues to grow. This sponsorship package outlines how your contribution will specifically contribute to our mission of helping others help themselves. 3 PLANS FOR 2019 ADDICTIONS AWARENESS 60% of people dealing with an addiction will also have a mood disorder. We want to develop programming to support Manitobans who deal with both an addiction and mood disorder. We plan to address all demographics including women, men and youth and develop innovative programming to help these people. An innovative program will include CBT as well as lifestyle skills training. Support needs to be frequent and ongoing as those travel their recovery journey from addictions and mental illness. Addictions come in all types of forms- alcohol, drugs such as cannabis and chrystal meth to shopping, video games and food. MDAM is committed to walking the journey with all types of addictions and co-occurring disorders.
