Initiated a statewide coalition of kinship care service providers and support group leaders. Provide oversight to all program functions and administrative tasks of the KCRC. Represent and interact on behalf of the KCRC with consumers, stakeholders, funders, and state level collaborative councils and advisory boards. Coordinate the planning for future development and expansion of the Center, including fund and capacity development. Provided radio and print interviews on the topic of kinship care in Michigan. Coordinated a process to draft federal program standards for the Department of Health and Human Services, Administration for Children and Family, Family Youth Services Bureau.

2 Provided training and technical assistance on topics related to social work ethics, supervision, program standards development, sustainability, policy, strategic planning, board development, outreach, and building collaboration. Provided supervision focusing on the development of macro social work skills to individuals working to obtain their state license or MSW. Reviewed continuing education provider applications to ensure compliance with Michigan Board of Social Work standards. Reviewed federal grant applications for funding for the Department of Health and Human Services, Administration for Children and Family, Family Youth Services Bureau. Trained as a peer-reviewer for federally funded runaway and homeless youth programs. Contracted Project Coordinator March 2010 April 2012 Michigan Coalition to End Domestic and Sexual Violence Responsible for the overall coordination of Michigan s Project Connect focusing on implementing domestic and sexual violence prevention, assessment, and referral best practices within school based and school linked adolescent health centers. Provides technical assistance to six local sites on the development and implementation of their projects. Coordinated and staffed a statewide leadership team made up of public and private stakeholders. Worked with the Family Violence Prevention Fund to ensure successful implementation of Project Connect in Michigan. Assisted in the coordination of trainings and presentations. Represented the effort throughout the state at meetings, workshops, and conferences. October, 2006 December, 2007 Interim Director November, 2008 March, 2009 Michigan Coalition Against Homelessness (MCAH), Lansing, MI Increased revenues by $150,000 in less than one year through outreach and coalition building. Provided management oversight to ensure the integrity of fiscal activities and oversaw financial audits. Provided leadership and directed activities for the purpose of locating new office space, negotiating favorable lease terms on the new space, and coordinating move activities that led to a smooth transition into new office space. Coordinated the hiring process for the Board to hire a new Executive Director. Developed, strengthened, and maintained relationships with a wide range of governmental units. Enhanced MCAH s standing with national partners through communication with the Regional Representative of the United States Interagency Council on Homelessness. Executive Director January, 2004 September, 2008 Michigan Network for Youth and Families (MNYF), Lansing, MI Increased revenues by over $190,000 since 2005 through collaborative relationships and outreach. Maintained an annual operating budget in excess of $150,000 annually. Provided oversight to ensure the integrity of fiscal activities related to the programs administered by the MNYF. Provided leadership while encouraging staff to develop their own leadership and programmatic strengths.

3 Coordinated and implemented an internship program that ensures a positive experience for all interns. Provided guidance in the delivery of three distinct programs operated by the MNYF: training, technical assistance, and advocacy. Oversaw the public relations and outreach activities, including maintenance of the MNYF website. Enhanced the MNYF s standing with the Department of Health and Human Services, Administration for Children and Families through extensive communication with the Regional Representative. Lobbied on behalf of member agencies at the State and Federal level. Represented members and youth with various stakeholder groups including the Michigan Shared Youth Vision Project, The Mental Health and Schools Task Force, and the National Runaway and Homeless Youth Training and Technical Assistance Advisory Board (RHYTTAC). Advised on the coordination of nationwide training and technical assistance through participation on the RHYTTAC Advisory Board. Reviewed grant applications at the national level for the Department of Health and Human Services, Administration of Families and Children, Family Youth Services Bureau. Acting Division Manager April 1999 January, 2004 Departmental Manager Departmental Analyst Michigan Family Independence Agency (FIA) Adult Services and Purchased Care Division, Lansing, MI Provided leadership and oversight to four programs within the Division: Adult Services, Purchased Care, Migrant and Refugee services. Maintained fiscal oversight of the Division, including the development and review of budget reports and identifying budget savings opportunities. Provided leadership, and coordinated activities designed to analyze policies impacting programs administration. Represented the Division at internal and external high level meetings. Managed a Program Development Unit that consisted of three team members responsible and implemented projects assigned to the Adult Services and Purchased Care Division. Facilitated a multi-step immersion that led to the development of a business plan to enhance the functionality of the Runaway and Homeless Youth program. Coordinated expansion of county-wide programs impacting purchased foster care. Developed and monitored a ten million dollar program budget, including tracking legislative allocations, monitoring program expenditures, and maintaining appropriate account code structures. Coordinated Request for Quote processes for purchasing services.
