NYCLU is the New York State affiliate of the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU). A not-for-profit, nonpartisan organization with nine offices across the state, our mission is to defend and promote the fundamental principles and values embodied in the Bill of Rights, the U.S. Constitution, and the New York Constitution, including freedom of speech and religion, and the right to privacy, equality and due process of law for all New Yorkers.

4 ADDITIONAL ANNUAL EVENTS & SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES NEW YORK CITY LGBT PRIDE MARCH ACLU LEGAL STRATEGIES EVENT New York City Sunday, June 24, 2018 Location varies New York City September/October 2018 Hundreds of LBGT community members, allies and supporters of civil liberties join the NYCLU and ACLU in the NYC LGBT Pride March annually to celebrate our work promoting and protecting the rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender New Yorkers. In 2017, the ACLU was one of the grand marshals. Over 400 supporters RSVP d to march with us and we received copious positive attention from the crowds. An annual panel event and reception offering a comprehensive assessment and legal analysis of the political landscape, our legal strategies, and the U.S. Supreme Court s cases that affect civil liberties, many of which the ACLU is involved in. In 2017, we held the event at Fordham Law School and introduced the new Legal Director of the ACLU, David Cole, who is a respected lawyer and public intellectual. WOMEN S RIGHTS EVENT CONTACT US Davis Wright Tremaine March 2018 In honor of Women s History Month (March) and International Women s Day (March 8), the NYCLU hosts a panel discussion with a focus on women s rights and reproductive rights in New York and nationally. In addition to the ACLU and the NYCLU staff, our speakers have included luminaries like Dr. Willie Parker and Alexis McGill Johnson.
