From dominoes and mah-jongg to card games and the public bingo nights, there s always something for everyone. Add to that monthly art classes, crafter projects, medical screenings, entertainment and community speakers, and you ll find Forever Young is the place to come for enjoyable fellowship. There is no membership fee required although there is an opportunity by the front door to donate $1 each visit to help cover building maintenance.

3 THIS WEEK S FYAC Board of Directors Meeting Monday, August 13 5:30 pm CRAFTY SENIORS Wednesday November 14, :00 am - Noon Class Fee: $3 Hey, Crafters! Let s give some pine cones a life by making them into adorable ornaments. SUPPLIES NEEDED: hot glue gun and glue, sharp scissors, wire cutters, 1/4 paint brush INSTRUCTOR: Elaine Douglas ( ) Wednesdays 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm Tai chi is a particularly effective exercise for gently improving strength, balance, flexibility, and range of motion. It is especially beneficial for those who may be limited from engaging in intense aerobic exercise as well as those who have joint stiffness or impaired balance. We will follow segments on a DVD and move ahead on a weekly basis as the class becomes comfortable with the moves. Wear comfortable clothes that allow you to move freely. 4 LAST WEEK... The new Tai Chi class got off to a good start last week with eight students. We still had time for games. Debbie Sheley of the Retirement Gals was at the Center the last two Wednesdays talking to folks who were investigating changes during Medicare Open Enrollment. Friday s lunch was provided by Dana at Caring Hearts Hospice. The chicken spaghetti was delicious! Then we celebrated birthdays with cake provided by Reflections Hospice. Thank you so much to the companies that support FYAC. Happy November birthdays to Peggy F, Roy F, and Wanda H!
